Social Credit Badge — Live Upvote/Downvote Counter

상품 설명

Social Credit Badge is a wearable, fully interactive avatar accessory that lets anyone give you an Upvote or a Downvote. It is fully persistent across sessions!

Inspired by Orville from Season 1. Ep.7 (go check it out!!)

Features:

  • 🔼🔽 Two independent counters — Upvotes and Downvotes tracked separately, up to 999,999 each
  • 💾 Persistent scores — your counts are saved locally and remembered between play sessions, no matter how many times you relaunch VRChat
  • 🟢🔴 Live winning glow — whichever side is ahead lights up green or red, visible to everyone in the instance, not just you
  • Press feedback — a small particle burst and sound effect on every press, so voting feels responsive even in a crowd
  • 🖥️ Simple one-time setup — drag one prefab onto your avatar (powered by VRCFury), run one companion program, done (optional: can be set to auto-launch with VRChat via VRCX)

Requirements:

  • Windows PC (the companion program that powers the live counting is Windows-only for now... Sorry!)
  • VRCFury (handles attaching the badge to any avatar automatically)
  • VRChat OSC enabled (one checkbox in VRChat's settings — instructions included)

What's included:

  • Unity package with the Badge prefab, ready to drag onto any avatar
  • Windows companion program (no Python or coding knowledge required)
  • Full written setup guide

Setup takes a few minutes and works with any avatar. Once it's on, just press Upvote or Downvote in-game and let the people decide your fate!

⚠️ A note on antivirus warnings

The companion program is a small Python tool packaged into a single .exe. Because of how it's packaged (not what it does), some antivirus engines and Windows SmartScreen may flag it as suspicious. This is an extremely common, well-documented false positive that affects almost all small Python programs packaged this way. It's a known, tracked issue on the packaging tool's own GitHub.

Thanks To RED_SIM for the fabulous and multi-purpose counter shader they made 💖
