Black Pyre (黒燎) — Black Fire Entrance & Exit [VRChat / Modular Avatar]

A black fire that never burns out.

An entrance and exit gimmick for VRChat avatars. A circle opens at your feet and a pillar of black fire swallows you whole. To return, a column of fire rises from the circle, scatters, and you are standing inside it.

The fire is a red-black flame, mostly ink-black, and the pillar rises wide enough to hide you even with your arms spread.

How to use

Turn 「黒燎」 (Black Pyre) on in the Expression menu to vanish into the fire (about 7 s). Turn it off to return from the fire (about 8 s).

You also return from the fire when the avatar loads, when you join a world or switch into it (can be turned off in the Inspector).

Features

• Pillar width is set automatically from your avatar's shoulder width and arm length.
• While vanished, every mesh on the avatar is hidden (you can exclude effect meshes and the like).
• Inspector settings: glow color, pillar width, speed, magic circle and sound on/off.
• One-click install from the Tools menu.

Install

Modular Avatar based. In Unity: Tools → 天禍堂 (Tenkado) → 黒燎 -Black Pyre- → 「選択中のアバターに導入」 (Install to selected avatar), then upload.

The fire, magic circle, sounds, animations and menu are generated at upload. Your original avatar is not modified.

Unity and in-game menu labels are in Japanese; Install_EN.txt gives the English meaning of each one.

• Modular Avatar (required, install separately)
• Humanoid avatar

Please note

• Uses 1 bit of synced parameters.
• Uses 1 AudioSource.
• Uses custom shaders. Viewers who block shaders won't see it correctly.
• There is a brief red flash at the moment the fire scatters.
