Avatar Vision | See Avatars Through Walls

Avatar Vision is an avatar add-on for VRChat that lets you see other avatars through walls. The effect is visible only to you and can be switched on and off from your Expressions menu.

Requirements and tested environment

• Unity 2022.3.22f1
• VRChat SDK 3.10.5
• Modular Avatar 1.18.7
• VRChat for PC

These are the versions used for testing, not guaranteed minimum requirements. Modular Avatar must be installed before setup. Standalone Quest is not supported.

Installation

1. Install Modular Avatar in your VRChat avatar project.
2. Import Avatar Vision v1.0.0.unitypackage.
3. Place the Avatar Vision prefab directly under your avatar’s root in the Hierarchy.
4. Build and upload your avatar.
5. Use the Expressions menu to toggle Avatar Vision.

To remove it, delete the Avatar Vision object from your avatar and upload again.

Important notes

• Nameplates are not displayed by the effect.
• Some transparent materials or special shaders may not be reproduced correctly.
• The effect uses two cameras while enabled and increases rendering load.
• An avatar model is not included.
• Please do not use this product to cheat in games or disturb others.
